Description

This is a very small Ugandan aloe that, to me, is very hard to tell from a much more common species in cultivation, ellenbeckii. Both are small, spotted, soft, relatively thin-leaved, stemless plants with very simple inflorescences of yellow and orange flowers. A ellenbeckii is a very aggressively suckering plant, while, in my limited experience, Aloe amudatensis is much more solitary species.
