Proud Plants was founded in 1999 by the present owner, Hendrik Strydom on a farm just outside Petrusbug A very cold winter, extremely hot summer, with low rainfall and the high percentage of lime in our natural water recourses makes plant growing conditions in the Free State and Central South Africa very difficult.
